Camping in January

So we had a winter camping experience this weekend IN our house. The kids swam in mom and dad's bathtub, put summer clothes on, roasted hot dogs, made smores, played games, and slept in the living room in sleeping bags. It was an awesome time to beat the winter blues!

Cold Weather

I would consider myself a pretty positive person most of the time and I feel like this freezing cold weather brings out the negative in just about everyone right now and it is starting to annoy me..we in this house, are trying to make the best of things..
No we can't play outside but yesterday we brought all the puzzles out and put them all together, today we have not one fort built in our house but two..one upstairs (are my cushions actually ever on the couch? No..) and one downstairs and tonight we are making the trip to the McDonalds to play in the playland, eat dinner, and play with some friends. Let's just make the best of these days because before you know it will be 90 degrees out and you won't want to go outside then either, so I just wish everyone would stop complaining and embrace the days the best they can!

Handy Cody

Cody loves building and fixing stuff. Here is a picture of him with his pencil behind his ear and a screwdriver to fix everything like Daddy does. He is pretty proud!

4.5 Already??

Wasn't this little girl just born. Wow..4.5 seems old..because is it! Kali is one amazing little girl. She is smart, kind, helpful, and has a love for life that I can't even begin to explain. She must have told me a million things already today she is so excited for:

1.) Going to school today (where she is now and LOVES it)
2.) Starting swimming lessons tonight.
3.) Going to Becky's on Monday.
4.) That Cody told her that he had to go poop and she helped him and he went!


You get the point...I love her so much and really don't want her to grow up. Just stay this small! My mom said her favorite age for me was 4 and I can see that. I will enjoy the next 6 months until she turns 5 and am sure I will love that too!
