Happy New Year

Happy New Year!
A night at home with a bottle of wine, appetizers, a movie, and the kids in bed by 7:30! That is how we are spending our New Year. How about you?

Christmas

Got snowed in at our new house, This is the quick re-cap.. Church services to celebrate the birth of Jesus, a new 4 wheeler for Cody, a scooter for Kali, Making cookies for Santa and feeding his reindeer, Playing in the snow with the new slide...it was a great Christmas. I hope yours was too!

First Gifts

On Saturday night our family celebrated Christmas with Andy's twin brother, Benji and his wife Kori. They came and had dinner and brought the kids their presents because we will not see them on Christmas. Kali and Cody were both so excited to open their presents. Both were thrilled with their gifts. Kali got a Princess Mermaid that goes in the bathtub with a slide and everything..she can't wait to take a bath tonight! The thing she was most excited about though was a cash register with a scanner, credit card, and food. To top it all off it is pink! She loves it. Cody got a tool set and tractors. He just keeps pushing them around the living room. It was a fun evening!

Preschool Holiday Party

On Friday, Kali's preschool class had a holiday party where they sang a few Christmas songs and had a book exchange. Parents were invited to come for the last half hour of class to watch. I was teaching math during that time of the day so Andy went. He got there and she was standing in the back waiting for it to start and Kali yells from in the front, " Daddy sit down!" Everyone laughed!

Here are some pictures! When I sent her to daycare that morning she had 2 cute pigtails in...needless to say one fell out when she got to school that morning..doesn't she look silly!

A few pictures

So I haven't posted pictures for quite a while, so here are my some of favorites from this fall. They include many fun things like a visit with Santa, playing at the mall, a four wheeler ride with dad, a Tinkerbell birthday party, a new bed for Kali, the apple orchard, and the pumpkin patch.

Getted settled

Well..we have moved and we love it..being in a new house, with new things, and close to work..it is awesome. After months of going unplugged...( no internet, home phone, or TV) today after living here for a few weeks we have it all back and I have to say it is awesome and was totally worth it. More to come in the next days and months.. because I am back!!!

Reading Books

Cody is completely into books right now. He wants to sit on your lap and will go and get book after book and have you read them. When you finish it he says "AGAIN" and pushes on the book. It is pretty funny. He knows so many words from all the stories he is hearing. His favorites are books about puppies and farm animals so he can make the sounds that go with them.

Kali loves to read him books, the other night when I was cleaning up the kitchen after dinner she had Cody on her lap and was reading him his favorite dog book. By the time I got the camera they had finished and were reading in a different spot, but it is still a pretty cute picture!

House is almost done

I drove by Friday after school and saw this..and then and the end of the day, they completed the siding, sod, sprinkler system, mulch, and trees! Can't wait to move in..it is close! No carpet yet inside, but you can the the inside is done except for that!

Halloween

What a fun weekend! Friday night we carved pumpkins and Saturday we went Trick-or-Treating downtown at all the shops in the afternoon and then in our neighborhood in the evening. The kids loved handing out candy at home and then we went to a Halloween party where there were lots of kids! It was a blast!

Update

The house is coming along awesome! I can't believe how fast things are going in the house. The windows and garage door are in. The entire house is sheetrocked, the shingles are on, and the garage floor is poured. We are looking forward to siding next and a driveway. Still thinking early December will be our move in date. It has been fun and our builder has been awesome!

Kids are great. We spent last weekend at home going to the Apple Orchard, playing at home, and Kali went to a Tinkerbell Birthday Party. She loved it. A treasure hunt, fairy wings, princess cake, a bounce house, and friends. She was in heaven! I will download the pictures so you can see later!

Andy is doing well, The new job is great and I have heard many wonderful things about him from others in the district. I am very proud of him.

Working full-time has been an adjustment for me this fall. I have a great class and love the kids, but will be excited when my job share partner comes back after her leave in January. I miss her!

Roof on!!

It is amazing how fast they can build a house. Just a week ago I posted the hole in the ground! Here is the progress as of today! EXCITING!
